From the bridge to the Harbour
I went to Gallipoli after shooting the Adriatic coast of Salento. For days I have seen the sun rise from the water and then, all of a sudden, at Gallipoli they sank the Sun at sunset. The whole perspective changes! At Gallipoli., the Bay formed between the heel and the sole of our beloved boot, I discovered a city with two souls. The modern part, born kind and raised on land, and the historical part, by insular vocation, is installed on a small island. To access the Gallipoli d'un long do I have to cross the bridge of ' 600 that connects it to the rest of Puglia. The perimeter of the old town turns around and closes in a few hours, but before you can say with consciousness of seeing the city we must wait for return of vessels in order to assist fish auction. All restaurateurs and many good family men congregate at the port to create a choreography of bargaining and ... fresh and full of variety. I recommend to buy something in order to enjoy the true taste of the Mediterranean.

Historical Centre
The old town of Gallipoli is located on a limestone island joined to the Mainland by an arched bridge of sixteenth-century origin. You immerse yourself in a maze of streets and monuments, with an overlap of styles of different cultures and peoples. Here you can visit the Castle, the Cathedral, the Greek-Roman Fountain, or do some shopping among local shops and boutiques.
